Abigail Liescheidt, LCSWA
Therapist
Abigail is a Clinical Therapist with Queen City Counseling & Consulting. She attended North Carolina State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work, before receiving her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Abigail strives to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Her clinical interests include anxiety, trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationships, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. She is passionate about helping clients feel more connected to themselves and confident in navigating the challenges and transitions that come with different stages of life.
Abigail takes a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy and draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and relational approaches. With a background as a yoga instructor, she incorporates mindfulness and body awareness into her clinical work, helping clients develop holistic coping skills, increase self-awareness, and identify and live in alignment with their personal values. She tailors her approach to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals, meeting clients where they are and supporting them in developing the tools they need to move forward. Outside of work, Abigail loves trying new local coffee shops, practicing yoga, traveling, learning Spanish, and playing with her cat, Mary.
