We are pleased to announce the official opening of Queen City Counseling & Consulting, PLLC in Charlotte, NC. Can you imagine the day you can have an honest, open, and supportive conversation with your teen about their mental health?  With the slogan, “Empowering young minds through healing and wellness,” our practice aims to provide a much needed service to adolescents and young adults while providing support and education to parents and loved ones.

Conveniently located in South Park, Queen City Counseling will provide individual and group therapy to clients between the ages of 13-21 with the goal to not only strengthen and heal the individual, but strengthen the bond between parent and teen through family check-in meetings. Our professionals specialize in adolescent mental health issues including anxiety, depression, self-harm and risky behaviors, suicidal thoughts and have a strong focus on trauma therapy. We are passionate about our clients’ well-being and want to help our teens and young adults recognize the amazing individuals that they are.

Our clinicians, Amy Gregor, MSW, LCSW,  Ashley McGurkin, MSW, LCSW, and Ellen Herbert, MSW, LCSW, each have over 10 years experience providing high-quality mental health services. Before opening Queen City Counseling & Consulting their experiences in a variety of different settings including Inpatient Hospitalization, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive In Home services have helped develop the skills to address many of the acute and crisis situations we often find ourselves in.

Queen City Counseling & Consulting will be starting the year off with a bang offering groups for both teens and parents. Be sure to be on the lookout for our Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens, Group for Grads for your transitioning high school teens into college and “real life”, and our first of many parent support seminars.

Amy, Ashley, and Ellen are proud to joining the private practice community and we look forward to empowering young minds and serving the greater Charlotte community.
